About rainbows

and sunny days.

(May 2010, Niagara Falls, NY)

One minute to 4 (AM)

one minute to four

rain falls heavy on my window
trying to fall asleep, blindfolded
covering with fresh, warm lies, i smile
yet, tears fall heavy on my pillow.

clouds cover me away
curtains folding in between me and a world
that has been turned upside down.
violent inner pain keeps a steady tempo of decay.

what's true and what's not i can't tell
trying to put together shattered pieces of what we once were
agonizing over what could have been
i walk in silence on a road straight to hell.

Time.

"Seconds turn to minutes
To hours, to days
Waiting for something to happen,
Longing for change
In so many ways.

Abandoned, yet surrounded with friends
Fearless, devoid of dreams
Silently waiting for the moment
When world ends."

Oversimplified.

" If we were dumb
There would be sunshine
Sweet life would taste like rainbows.

There'd be no pain
There'd be more hope,
More peace, more time,
And softer thoughts.
There'd be no mime. "

Abstract sunset.

Cold. Silent. Forever.

Fragile.

...and then I believed.
